Tayseer Privacy Policy

Tayseer is a Quran companion app for reading, recitation, memorization, and progress tracking. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used.
Data we collect
Tayseer uses account information such as your name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in provider to create, authenticate, and protect your account. Firebase Analytics automatically collects basic app usage events, such as app opens and sessions, and Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports. We use these to understand reliability and improve the app.
Reading data
Your reading progress, pages read, daily trackers and goals, preferences (such as your riwayah, reciter, and theme), reading companion progress, and any saved ayahs or notes are synced to Tayseer cloud storage (Google Firebase) under your signed-in account so they can follow you across devices. Downloaded Mushaf pages and recitations, cached pages, and audio timing data stay on your device.
Mushaf pages and recitations
Mushaf pages and recitations are delivered from Tayseer's servers on Cloudflare and from the recitation providers MP3Quran and Quranpedia. Like any website, these services receive standard request information such as your IP address. When you play protected recitations, your sign-in token is used to authorize the request.
Microphone, notifications and location
Tayseer does not use your microphone and does not send push notifications. If you turn on reminders, your phone schedules them itself, from prayer times it works out on the device. To do that it uses your time zone, or your approximate location if you choose to share it; your location is kept on your device only and never sent to Tayseer or anyone else. On Android, a notification with playback controls is shown while a recitation is playing.
When you create an account, Tayseer sends a one-time welcome email to your address through our email provider, Resend. Account emails such as email verification and password reset are sent by Firebase Authentication.
Third-party services
Tayseer uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, and Crashlytics), Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Resend, Cloudflare, MP3Quran, and Quranpedia. These providers process data as needed for sign-in, syncing, diagnostics, security, email delivery, and content delivery.
Tracking
Tayseer does not use data brokers or advertising tracking. If this changes, the App Store privacy details and this policy will be updated before the change is released.
Your choices
You can update app preferences and delete your account in Settings. Account deletion removes your Firebase account and synced Tayseer app data. You can also contact support for help with privacy questions or account access.
